Simply Scrappin Photo Book Tutorial redo

Ok, so I finally have a chance to spend a few minutes on the computer, so I wanted to redo the Photo Book tutorial that is posted below. I want to put it all in one long post, because I was posting from my Black Berry, I wasnt able to make one post with many pictures. so here it is in one easy post for you.

Simply Scrappin Photo Book:

1 Simply Scrappin Kit (I chose Hoppy Memories 113936)
3/16" corner rounder 109047
Paper cutter 104152
SNAIL adhesive 104332
Ruler
Pencil

Constructing your base
I chose Pumpkin Pie to be my card base from my kit. All the cardstock in SU'! Simply Scrappin kits come with 8 12"x12" textured cardstock.
1. You will trim your cardstock down to 10 1/4"x9".

2. Lay your cs down so that the 10 1/4" is running across.
3. Using your ruler, from the top right edge, measure 1 1/2" down and lightly mark with a pencil.

4. From this mark, set your ruler straight across the cardstock and measure and mark at 4 3/8". Repeat to the bottom right edge.
5. Now from the top left edge of the page also measure 1 1/2" down, and 2" across.
Repeat on left bottom corner.

6. From the left edge, score your cardstock at 1 5/8", and again at 6 1/8"
7. From the bottom, score at 1 1/2" and 7 1/2"
8. Fold all score lines.

9. Now, remember those points that we measured out in Part 1, you are going to cut out the rectangular pieces that should be left after measuring. You then have this side ways T like the picture shows.
10. Now that you have your base, using your corner rounder, round off all corners of your book.

Constructing the inside

1. I used Kiwi Kiss for the inside flap of my book. You will need two separate pieces. The larger Kiwi Kiss cs measures 5 7/8"x 5", scored vertically at 3/4"(across 5" side)The smaller Kiwi Kiss cs is 1"x 5 5/8" scored vertically at 1/2".
2. On the larger Kiwi Kiss cs, apply adhesive ONLY to the larger portion to the right of the score line.

3. Center and line up Kiwi Kiss to center of Pumpkin Pie book, making sure that the fold lines are aligned, creating a "V"
4. Cut out a strip of DSP, included in your Simply Scrappin Kit measuring 1 1/8"x6". Round top and bottom right corners and adhere to right edge of book.

5. Cut out a piece of whisper white cardstock measuring 3"x5 3/4" round the top and bottom and decorate as desired.
6. Adhere it into the smaller Kiwi Kiss "V"

7. Apply adhesive to the left flap of the Large Kiwi Kiss piece ( the one that is already glued in the book).
8. Attach your journalling flap to this piece aligning the fold lines together.
9. Continue to journal and decorate whisper white piece as desired.

I wanted to put lots of journaling into this photo book, you don't have to though. you see how I even had journalling at the back of the whisper white cardstock. Instead of journalling, why don't you crop some pictures and add them there. If you crop them right you should be able to fit at least 2 small lil square pictures there.

The outside cover
There are many differnt ways that you could make this photo book open and close, this is what I chose to do:

1. Cut a piece of Real Red cs 3 1/2"x3"
2. Decorate as desired.

3. On the reverse right side of the Real Red, you will need two rows of stampin dimensionals. Due to the thickness of the photo book, I double stacked my dimensionals.

4. When putting this piece onto the cover, make sure that about 1/2" will stick out so that the flap of the book can be tucked in and out

And there you have it!! I know, I was very vague with the instructions! Sorry, but if there are any questions, email me at any time velariem@hotmail.com and I will respond asap

Aiden Album

Aiden's grandmother will be leaving to return to Cambodia in a few days so I made an album of all Aiden for her. You may recognize this album, I have made them two times now. Once as a year in review, and then again for Michaels Grandmother.

This is the front

And here are some pictures of the insides:

On another note, have you gotten all your christmas shopping done yet? I usually have it all done by mid november, but for some reason I dont feel like I am into much of a rush. Maybe because my to do list is way too long right now. I have so much to do, and each time I come on the computer to update my blog or website, I end up getting carried away and start surfing here and there. I havent even showered yet! In fact, as I am blogging away right now, I'm still in my jammies!
Anyways, thats all, stay tuned to updates on my blog. I am still learning how to work this thing and I want to add some more link sections and more gadgets. a teeny revamp.
Anyho, thanks again for those who came out yesterday and for all the warm wishes for those who couldnt make it for my operation smile fundraiser.
